Partnership With Native Americans (PWNA) is a national nonprofit serving immediate needs and supporting long-term solutions for Native Americans living in under-resourced reservation communities.
On Friday, Oct. 4, 2019, PWNA announced its partnership with award-winning actor Wes Studi to help raise awareness of realities of life on the reservations.
Their first step was to develop a five-part PSA series to give an accurate portrayal of life on the reservations and dispel the widely held misconceptions that still impact Native people today.
A word from Wes:
“Native communities have found solutions that work within their cultures, but funding has not kept pace to support them. My hope is that together with PWNA we can increase awareness and show that supporting Native-led causes is the only way we can create change.”
